Diana West: Dogging the goat
Everything about Kerry seems so fake. Nothing he says seems to have anything behind it. Nothing he says is supposed to help us know who he is and what he would stand for, it's just words calculated to tell people what he thinks they want to hear. He attacks Bush for six minutes off inaction while on the same day he apparently did nothing for thirty. I can't believe that this man is even in this race.

Kerry was picked because he had the best chances to beat Bush. As we all know, the soul existence of Democrats today is to defeat Bush. They are defined by it. I think the saddest thing is that of ALL Democrats, he was the BEST choice! Wow. That's your best. So he isn't around because of his views, intelligence, ability, adeptness... It's because the Dems think he had the best chances. Being a Democrat has become the fashionable way to not like Bush. Even Kerry's wife was a Republican until she became offended at a Republican event. So she changed. Sad.
If this is the best man they can come up with, then their problems are more serious than I've even imagined. They should try being honest and try to get elected with someone who is a ture leader among them and who would stand for things their party truly believes. It's such a joke when they say whatever they think people want to hear, even when it obviously isn't what they really believe.
